Politics (…shudder…)

Okay, if you’re anything like me, you’re probably pretty tired of politics about now. They are a topic I normally shy away from discussing, but this doesn’t mean I’m not paying attention.

I pay attention to the candidates and the issues, but I refuse to be swayed by hype and rumors. I read the Drudge Report and the Huffington Post. I watch Michael Moore’s documentaries and listen to Michael Savage. I watch MSNBC and FOX News. I listen to NPR and my local talk news station.  What this has taught me over the years is that extremism has many forms and many faces. That said, I try to get truly "fair and balanced news" the only way I know how — by getting my news from many diverse sources on both sides of the political arena. In one of his most lucid moments, Hunter S. Thompson basically wrote there is no such thing as an unbiased reporter in Fear and Loathing on the Campaign Trail ’72 (an amazingly honest look into the inside world of politics), and there’s a lot of truth to this statement.

That said, I found this website, and wanted to share it with bloggers everywhere of every political stripe because at least this group is trying decipher the truths behind the hype:
