…staying busy…

I’m staying on track, I should be able to exceed my goal again this week, just another 387 words to go. 

It has been a struggle. The boys and my wife have been dealing with a nasty stomach bug (miraculously, I’m healthy …for now). I took some time off work to help out, which means a lot of playing catch-up. Between the day job, caring for the ill, and trying to help get stuff in order because my oldest starts Kindergarten tomorrow (man, it goes so fast, how’d that happen!), there’s only been a little time for writing.

…not too shabby considering…

Once I get comfortably past the 10,000 word mark, I have a growing list of other responsibilities that need taking care of. I really need to go out and mow the lawn before the neighborhood association starts knocking on my door. I thought about doing it today, but saw the heat index was over the 100 degree mark and decided writing seemed more appealing.  But the to-do list seems never-ending.  

…nobody ever said being a writer was easy…
